The Midland is situated in the heart of Manchester City Centre, and is one of finest venues in Manchester. With A variety of different function rooms the possibilities are endless for you and your wedding party.

When i remembered my camera this time, I was in the Trafford Suite, which is downstairs and can hold up to 200 guests i'd imagine. I was there early as the client had requested some back ground music during entrance and throughout the meal. Also they required the microphones for the speeches which even though the room isn't massive, it has a high ceiling which makes it harder to be heard properly.

After the wedding breakfast, they retired to the bar while the room was turned around, and in this case the band set-up in front of me. The band Top Shelf Jazz were a great bunch of guys and provided something a little different to the average wedding band. Very good, friendly, and helpful. I would recommend them to anyone requiring a band with a difference.

During the bands 1st break I let loose with a few party and disco classics, then when I returned after their 2nd set, it was what the bride and groom wanted, which was mainly stuff like the The Who, Rolling stones, Led Zepplin, Bob Dylan, Indie, and general rock. It was little different to the normal disco but good to play some great music that usually doesn't get an airing, and this was helped by the client using the online request service which is available with all bookings.

This next wedding I did at the Midland Hotel was in October 2010, and was a great night! I supplied the P.A. for mackground music during the meal, along wit Microphones for speeches. Then the Bride & Groom had a couple of friends do a couple of accoustice sets before I got start playing their favorite tracks. Everyone had a ball, and was one of the better nights in 2010.

And on to August 2011 at the Midland Hotel in Manchester.

Once again I was supplying background music and microphones for speeches, and once again the bride and groom had supplied an exstensive muic list, and once again everyone had a great night. I only seem to get booked at the Midland once or twice a year, but everytime I do, These 3 things always seem to happen.
