Great John Street hotel

Great John Street Hotel is situated right in the heart of Manchester City Centre, and is small and unassuming from the outside but once you go inside you are greeted with a really stylish exclusive and extensive Hotel. Not only do you have the main bar down stairs with the balcony over looking the dance floor and bar, you have the roof top with it's own bar area and seating area, plus views across the city. I have played here a few times now and i've posted a few pictures one from the downstairs bar area and balcony, the other from the rooftop bar.

Downstairs Reception at Great John Street Hotel.....

On this occasion the groom was playing a set with his band downstairs to start with, so I had to set-up on the balcony, which meant I could get some great views of the wedding party dancing the night away. I also used some Venue Lighting along the side walls to help create a softer atmosphere. These were on slow colour scroll so they were constantly changing colour, just very slowly so as not to distract from anything.

This also alows me to go easy with the disco lighting, as the bride and groom didn't want it getting to 'clubby'.

These set of pictures was from a Civil Partnership that was booked to be the wedding DJ, held at Great John Street hotel, the reception was all held on the Rooftop bar and funtion room. I was set-up with a band (The Bad Cats ). As there wasn't much room, they set-up in front of me and it worked well. Great band and a good bunch of guys.
